Holmen

108 State Street, Holmen WI, 54636

Holmen, with its renowned annual Kornfest Festival is a flourishing village situated in northern La Crosse County. It was first settled by Norwegian immigrants and incorporated as a village in 1946. The Norwegian word Holmen translated means islet. Today it is considered one of Wisconsin’s most rapidly expanding neighborhoods with enormous economic growth. Adventure and allure will not escape you as you explore the rare truss bridges along the hiking trails of “Seven Bridges Road”, or any of the 12 parks that Holmen has to offer. Splash away at the Holmen Area Aquatic Center, one of the first in the area to offer waterslides and a water play area. If biking is your thing, Holmen follows Halfway Creek Trail for 3.4 miles, connecting to the Great River Bike Trail that runs along the Mississippi on an abandoned railroad line. The people, churches, schools, restaurants, and attractions make Holmen not just a suburb of La Crosse, but a beacon of small-town charm. RE/MAX Results joined with RE/MAX First Choice in 2020.
