Wabasha

257 West Main Street, Wabasha MN, 55981

Famous for its connection to the movie “Grumpy Old Men”, Wabasha is perched on the banks of the Mississippi River at the foot of Lake Pepin in southwest Minnesota and was named in honor of the Chief of the Sioux Nation. 1843 gave birth to this humble town as lumber and commerce industries emerged along the Mississippi. The early 1900s attracted an abundance of clammers searching for pearls, thus yielding Button factories that would then utilize the discarded shells of the clams. At present Wabasha is dynamic in its outdoor recreation and hospitality with its splendor of parks, marinas, campgrounds, and festivals. Downtown features an incredible plaza overlooking the river and the National Eagle Center where you can experience an intimate look at our national symbol, the magnificent Bald Eagle. Spend a day or even a week touring the bounty that Wabasha has to offer. RE/MAX Results joined with RE/MAX First Choice in 2020. For more information about Wabasha, visit the Wabasha community page.
