The Fourth of July is right around the corner and there is no better way to celebrate than settling in and catching the local fireworks shows. Sometimes it can be tough to know where the closest shows are to you. Lucky for you we have got you covered. Minneapolis
- Minneapolis will not be holding its annual Red, White, and Boom show this year but they will be hosting a laser light show in its place at Boom Island Park. If you’re looking for the traditional fireworks show check out some of the surrounding areas below!

St. Paul
- St. Paul is not holding a fireworks show this year but our beloved St. Paul Saints will be celebrating with fireworks this weekend! Stop by for their Friday night game against the Gwinnett Stripers and stay for the fireworks show to follow. On Saturday and Monday, they will be having a Monster Food Truck Rally with fireworks to follow as well after their games against Gwinnett.

Duluth
- Duluth will be hosting “Fourth Fest” starting at 4 pm on Tuesday, July 4th with live music that will end in a fireworks display. The events will take place at Bayfront Festival Park.

Superior
- The City of Superior will be putting on the 26th Annual 4th of July Celebration on Tuesday, July 4th. There will be a parade at 11 am followed by a car and motorcycle show with food vendors as well as a fighter pilot flyover! To finish the night there will be a fireworks display starting at dusk around 10 pm at Barker’s Island Festival Park.

Rochester
- Rochester will be celebrating the Fourth of July with “4th Fest” this year which includes, music, food trucks, and of course, a fireworks show to end the evening! The events will take place in Soldiers Field Park.

La Crosse
- La Crosse will be hosting Riverfest 2023 this year to celebrate the 4th of July. there will be various events and live music throughout the weekend culminating in a fireworks show to end the weekend. The fireworks show will take place in the evening at 10 pm at the Coulee Region Docks River Stage.

Brainerd Lakes Area
- There will be many 4th of July celebrations in the Brainerd Lakes Area featuring fireworks shows. Shows will be hosted at dusk at Gull Lake, Pequot Lakes, Crosslake, Crosby, and at Ruttger’s Bay Lake Resort.

Alexandria
- Alexandria will be hosting Star Storm this year at the Arrowwood Resort & Conference Center. The fireworks show will start when the sun sets over Lake Darling.

St. Cloud
- The St. Cloud Fireworks committee will present central Minnesota’s Fourth of July Fireworks display. 2023 will be the 77th consecutive year for the show. This will be one of the largest displays in central Minnesota this year. You can catch the show on either side of the Mississippi River in Wilson Park and Hester Park.

Apple Valley
- Apple Valley will be hosting Freedom Days this year which will run from June 28th to July 4th with a fireworks show in the evening on the 4th. The show will take place at dusk at Johnny Cake Ridge Park East.

Eagan
- Eagan will be hosting their annual July 4th Funfest from July 2nd to July 4th. With a parade and plenty of activities, you won’t have trouble staying busy. End the night with fireworks at dusk.

Eden Prairie
- Eden Prairie will be hosting a day of activities for their 4th of July Hometown Celebration on Tuesday, July 4th at Round Lake Park starting at 3 pm. Starting with food trunks and music and ending with fireworks at dusk you will find plenty to do.

Lake Minnetonka
- Lake Minnetonka will be holding a public 4th of July event on the shores of Lake Minnetonka, at the Commons Park in downtown Excelsior. The fireworks show will take place at dusk and will be the only public show on Lake Minnetonka.

St. Louis Park
- St. Louis Park is holding its annual fireworks show at Aquila Park on Monday, July 4th at dusk. Stop by for live music and food trucks but stay for the fireworks show.

Stillwater
- Stillwater will be hosting a huge fireworks display over the St. Croix River. This premier location will offer views from anywhere near downtown.
